An immersive weekend designed to help you deepen connection, strengthen safety, and build lasting intimacy.
A Transformational Experience for Your Relationship
Based on the groundbreaking research of Dr. Sue Johnson and rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Hold Me Tight® couples retreat offers a structured, supportive space to:
- understand the patterns that get in the way of connection,
- experience deeper emotional engagement,
- learn conversations that help you stay close, even when life gets hard.

Whether you’re at the beginning of your relationship or have shared many years together, this weekend is designed to help you grow closer, not drift apart. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive space for all couples, which is why we offer discounts for BIPOC, Disabled, and low-income participants.
The retreat content has also been thoughtfully adapted to be inclusive of LGBTQ+ couples, as well as those in non-monogamous and polyamorous relationships.
What You’ll Explore Together
At the heart of this retreat is a set of core relationship conversations that guide couples from feeling stuck to feeling connected. Across the weekend, you will:
Notice and Change Unhelpful Patterns
Learn how cycles of conflict and disconnection develop and begin to shift them in real time.
Find and Speak Your Deepest Needs
Discover how to express what truly matters beneath surface reactions.
Revisit and Repair
With gentle structure and support, revisit difficult moments and practice emotional repair.
Deepen Emotional and Physical Intimacy
Explore the connection between emotional responsiveness and closeness, including intimacy and touch.
Build a Roadmap for Keeping Love Alive
Take home practical insights and skills to nourish your connection long after the weekend ends.

Private Partner Conversations
You and your partner will have time together for structured conversations — with support available if needed.
Group Debrief & Reflection
Together with the facilitators and other couples, you’ll reflect, ask questions, and integrate what you’ve learned.
*No couple is ever asked to share private conversations publicly.
Who Can Attend
All couples are welcome, including couples of different gender identities, orientations, and relationship structures. We work to create a space that is inclusive, affirming, and supportive for every partnership.
This retreat is relationship education, not couples therapy, and is ideal for couples who are ready to strengthen connection, deepen understanding, and make positive changes together.
