Executive Functioning
Every superpower has its kryptonite, and neurodiversity is no exception. Although neurodiverse individuals often exhibit brilliant and creative thought patterns, everyday tasks such as time management, organization, prioritization, and self-regulation can be a real struggle. Thankfully, effective, practical strategies can help address these challenges. We will work together to create your own toolkit so you can overcome obstacles, build sustainable habits, and achieve your goals with greater ease and confidence.
Executive Functioning therapy has three steps:
- Initial Assessment: Understand your current executive functioning skills and identify goal areas.
- Individualized Action Plan: Develop a personalized plan with actionable steps to meet your goals.
- Ongoing Support: Regular follow-up sessions to track progress, adjust strategies, and celebrate achievements.
Executive Functioning therapy sessions can help people who identify in various ways, including:
- Neurodiverse folks (for example, ADD, ADHD, AuDHD and/or autism)
- Adults with cognitive challenges
- Professionals looking to improve their productivity and efficiency
- Students who need help with organization, time management, and goal-setting for academic success
- Anyone seeking personal development
Craniosacral Therapy
As a practitioner committed to holistic well-being, body-based services are an important part of my work. Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle form of bodywork that releases tension in the fascia that surrounds the muscles, organs, nerves, blood vessels, brain, and spinal cord. Because the body is an interconnected web, relieving tension in one area can enhance the functioning of the entire system. Mind-body healing for the win!
In just a few minutes of light touch, CST can:
- Relieve pain
- Enhance mobility
- Support overall health
- Encourage the body’s natural healing processes
- Reduce stress levels
- Promote deep relaxation and well-being
Benefits of Craniosacral Therapy
CST is effective for a wide variety of conditions. CST may be used to treat:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Various stress-related disorders
- Chronic pain
- Headaches/migraines
- Neck, and back pain
- Trauma recovery
- Sleep disorders
- TMJ disorders
- Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
- Fibromyalgia
- Post-surgical recovery
- Post-concussion syndrome
Mental Health
Mental health is critical to overall well-being. As an Occupational Therapy (OT) practitioner specializing in mental health, I provide evidence-based, compassionate services designed to support and enhance mental and emotional health. Together, we will explore how mental health issues affect daily activities, including work, relationships, self-care, and rest. By identifying your unique strengths and challenges, I can tailor interventions to meet your specific needs, guiding you toward a more sustainable and fulfilling life.
Through years of experience, I have found comprehensive, tried-and-true strategies that positively impact mental health and overall wellness. My approach integrates knowledge from several fields and modalities, including neuroscience, sensory integration, systems-based paradigms, and mind-body approaches such as Somatic Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Brainspotting.
I have special interest in working with:
-
Coping and emotional regulation
